Ex McAfee Security Evangelist joins SecurityMob

SecurityMob are pleased to announce that ex-McAfee Security Evangelist, Lee Fisher, joins SecurityMob to help integrate a range of Security assessment services and develop/extend the SecurityMob solution offerings.

Fisher, who helped McAfee develop and integrate solutions for almost 10 years, brings a wealth of security knowledge and experience to the solution development team to SecurityMob and has taken the lead in the service and business development of the SecurityMob EWS and RMS solutions. “The SecurityMob solution offerings will become mainstream in the future years as the nature of the threat changes from scattergun random attacks to selective, targeted attacks driven by cyber criminals, prompting organisations to understand and respond to real risks to their business.”

Fisher continues “Risk is not measured correctly by the security industry today. When Microsoft announce a ‘Critical’ flaw in Microsoft Windows 2000, who is it actually ‘critical’ too? All business uses technology in different ways from the next, therefore the risk assessment must be relevant to how each business utilises technology.”

Fisher also brings a different eye to the malicious code problems faced by organisations world wide, and highlights that organisations need better education and policies, not just another technology. “Most organisations could reduce the risk from computer worms by simply understanding how they work, and then implementing simple changes to their infrastructure to deny the threats any form of success.”. To that end SecurityMob will soon be incorporating new consultative services to help educate, assess and manage customer security solutions.”
